On The Road with Queen Kwong

a week in the life of the hardest-working (and only) band I've ever toured with

Story by Lou Noble December 8th 2013

I spent a bunch of days last September traveling with Queen Kwong on the western leg of their first US tour. I've always wanted to give it a shot, documenting a band on the road, and these kids did not disappoint. We stayed in strange, I mean STRANGE places, played some excellent shows, encountered weird mishaps...basically, it was a classic tour experience.

As her closer, Carré (Queen Kwong's leader and creator) would finish the last song deep in the crowd. Occasionally the crowd was flummoxed, but more often than not they were utterly mesmerized.

SO MANY HOURS IN THAT VAN. But somehow I avoided having to pull driving duty. I think it's because of my amazing mind powers. "Do not notice me Never driving. I am invisible. Give me more crackers."
